Building an award-winning rebrand

We led the strategic rebrand of a 40-year-old architecture studio, guiding them from a founder-led identity to a purpose-driven brand. In a crowded field of public architecture firms, we identified a gap in the market and introduced a new positioning around social change. Through internal interviews, messaging workshops, and competitive analysis, we helped surface and articulate values that had shaped their work but were not previously expressed.

The result was a clear, resonant identity that repositioned the firm to clients, partners, and the industry as a leader in purpose-driven design. LinkedIn impressions rose by 183%, email open rates hit 56%, and their subscriber list grew by 150%. The rebrand helped attract 10 key hires and win eight major industry awards, including the SMPS LA Award for Excellence in Corporate Identity. A CONFIDENTIAL CELEBRITY

Elevating a global leader

An A-list celebrity came to us looking for ways to expand their influence and philanthropy. We developed a thought leadership platform and built partnerships with global organizations aligned to their values. Over the course of a year, we led executive communications for five high-profile events with global reach, including at the UN General Assembly. Our work included speechwriting, message development, and interview preparation that aligned personal narrative with public impact.

The result was 67+ pieces of positive media coverage in top-tier outlets including The Economist, Forbes, TIME, Business Insider, and Mashable. Mentions of partner nonprofit organizations increased by an average of 58%, leading to broader visibility, growth in social media followings, and direct links to digital donations.

CREATE CA

Growing a movement during change

During COVID-19, we led communications and strategy for Create CA, anticipating a need to pivot the campaign with schools closing. We ideated and executed Create at Home, an initiative that provided arts education resources to students and parents at home, offering a tangible way to engage with both the campaign and the issue at a critical moment.

Our digital-led approach multiplied the campaign’s audience and actions. Within the first 3 months, email list subscribers grew by 220%, and web traffic increased by 600%. We recruited over 30 influencers and developed toolkits that strengthened partnerships with California Department of Education leaders and other stakeholders.

THE JUSTICE INITIATIVE

Mobilizing for advocacy

We advised on messaging, media relations, and public affairs partnerships for an international campaign spanning 27 countries. The campaign secured over 540,000 petition signatures and culminated in an event at the European Union Parliament attended by high-level E.U. officials and political leaders.

The initiative generated media coverage in more than 20 countries, including international outlets like CNN and EuroNews. We helped mobilize a diverse coalition of NGOs, child abuse survivors, and policymakers to support legislative action for online children’s safety.
